Laura Logan


Laura is currently the Upstream Senior Issues Advisor within the Public and Government Affairs Department of Exxon Mobil Corporation. In this role, the manages legislative, regulatory and other public policy issues that impact the company’s Upstream businesses.

Laura has been with ExxonMobil for 17 years. She began her career in ExxonMobil’s Global Security Department, creating an integrated threat assessment program post 9/11. From there., she transferred to Public and Government Affairs, where she has had assignments in public policy, cammunications, operations (including 2 years supporting ExxonMobil’s Iraq operations) and interanational government relations.Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Laura spent 9 years with the Central Intelligence Agency in a variety of roles within the Clandestine Service, including a three-year assignment at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France.

Laura graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature. She also received a Masters in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She is married to Jason, an architect and Professor at the University of Houston, and they live in the Heights.
