About The Event

The documentary “Brothers” is filmed by director and cinematographer Aslaug Holm, the boys’ mother, over an eight-year period. She follows closely her two young sons Markus and Lukas in their everyday life, while being sons, close brothers, as well as being kids having pleasures and disappointments. This is her attempt to capture their childhood and brotherhood, and their discovery of life, while looking back at her own family history.

About The Series

A total of four Norwegian-produced documentaries compiled together by 14 Pews’ very own Cressandra Thibodeaux will be screened throughout September. Norwegian documentaries have a very visible spot in international documentary festivals and have been praised for their innovative narration and dialogue with the audience. In collaboration with 14 Pews we are proud to screen four of them, all award-winning documentaries followed by a talk-back with former Consul General, Mr. Lasse Seim after each screening. 14 Pews is a non-profit independent and multidisciplinary movie theater screening independent films, documentaries and short films located in The Heights.

Attendance is completely FREE OF CHARGE and complimentary beer sponsored by Saint Arnolds Brewing Company will be offered.
