The Global Young Professionals (GYP) Mentorship Program aims to connect young professionals in the local workforce with globally minded professionals and executives who provide support, leadership, and counsel through meetings, virtual sessions, shadowing, & projects. Mentees will come away with a better understanding, connection, and knowledge about their careers and industries while obtaining an understanding of global issues and world affairs.
Mentee Expectations and Requirements
- Mentees must have a current membership with the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston between the ages of 18-29
- Mentees must be available to meet their mentor and maintain an agreed upon schedule – connect at least once(1) a month
- Mentees must attend at least two(2) WACGH programs throughout the mentorship
- Mentees must complete an evaluation and exit statement upon completion
- Mentees must maintain the spirit of being open to learning, growth, and development
