One of the World Affairs Council’s integral education programs are the Student World Affairs Council (SWAC) chapters across the Greater Houston area. Comprised of public, private, magnet, and home school students and educators, SWAC chapters promote international education and dialogue at more than 40 schools of all types across the region. Being an active member of a SWAC chapter gives Houston-area high school students the opportunity to engage at a local and global level by competing in a national international trivia competition, meeting and conversing with internationally-acclaimed speakers and preparing for future career goals.

To show our appreciation for our globally-minded students as well as our local community, the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston invites you to nominate any active Student World Affairs Council Chapter for a chance to become the SWAC Chapter of the Year. The chapter will be recognized at the 22nd Annual Jesse H. Jones Award Luncheon on Thursday, August 13th.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, July 31st!
