Eric Schmauch is the Director of Sales for United Airlines based in Houston, Texas. In this role, Mr. Schmauch oversees the corporate sales & marketing strategy for Texas as well as the Central United States. Mr. Schmauch grew up in Michigan before moving to Missouri City, TX in High School. Shortly after receiving a Finance degree from Texas A&M he joined Continental Airlines. Over the next 36 Years, he has excelled and led teams across every level within the airline from reservations, customer service, corporate pricing Global Sales and ultimately Worldwide Sales. His journey has included 9 moves across 5 states, mostly throughout the Midwest including a major promotion to run the sales organization in the Chicago & Midwest territory during the Continental/United merger in 2011. Post pandemic Eric proudly returned to Houston to take on the restructuring and recalibrating of the sales effort for the Hub as well as 15 other Central US states. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston CVB, the Australian Chamber of Commerce, and Big Brothers of America. He and his wife live in the Kingwood area. They have two adult children, son EJ, daughter Veronica, and two grandson’s Noah and Colson ages 3 and 3 months respectively who all reside in the Dallas area.
