GYP: The Domestic and Global Stakes of the Midterm Elections

Exclusive event for young professionals

As the United States approaches the upcoming congressional midterm elections, the domestic political landscape hangs in the balance, with sweeping implications for national legislation, economic policy, and legislative control. Beyond domestic borders, international allies and competitors alike closely watch these democratic exercises, calculating how shifts in Washington will impact global alliances, trade agreements, and foreign policy priorities.

Join the World Affairs Council and the Global Shapers for an engaging panel discussion tailored for young professionals, where we unpack the domestic gravity and international ripple effects of the upcoming midterms. Our expert speakers will analyze what these elections mean for the future of U.S. governance and examine how the rest of the world views America’s shifting political currents.
