Mongolia: Big Skies, Serene Steppes, Naadam Festival Special

June 30 – July 12, 2027

Journey into the heart of Mongolia, a land of immense skies, sweeping steppes, sacred mountains, and living nomadic traditions. From the energetic capital of Ulaanbaatar, you travel through the granite valleys of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and into the legendary Gobi Desert, where singing dunes, camel-herding families, dramatic canyons, and the fossil-rich Flaming Cliffs reveal the country’s extraordinary natural and cultural heritage.

Your adventure continues through Mongolia’s ancient imperial heartland, with visits to Buddhist monasteries, the former capital of Karakorum, and Khustai National Park, home of the reintroduced takhi wild horse. The journey culminates with the spectacular Naadam Festival, where you experience Mongolia’s celebrated traditions of wrestling, archery, and horse racing amid colorful ceremonies, music, national dress, and joyful midsummer festivities.
