Biography

Bruce is the Vice President and Director of Government and Industry Affairs with SLB (previously Schlumberger) since November of 2021. He has been with the company for 29 years, 14 years of that overseas.

His career began with SLB in 1995 as a Wireline Field Engineer in the Gulf of Mexico and US Land. Prior to his current role, he held various global management positions including most recently Measurements Manager for the Drilling & Measurements product line and then as the VP Global Account Director to Chevron from 2017 to 2021.

Earlier in his SLB career, Bruce held various operations management positions spanning several of SLB’s product lines and functions, including Wireline, Drilling & Measurements, HR, Operations and Sales Management.

His international career has covered Norway, Malaysia (and Asia), Saudi Arabia (and the Middle East), France and the United States. He serves on the Energy Workforce and Technology Council’s Advisory Board and Chairs the Government Affairs Committee. He also sits on the Junior Achievement, Spindletop, and Alley Theatre Boards in Houston. He is a member of the University of Illinois Geology Alumni Advisory Board and serves as SLB’s Ambassador to the school.

Bruce holds a BS in Geology and an MS in Structural Geology, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He lives in Fulshear, Texas and is married with a son and a daughter.
