Since the 2021 coup, Myanmar has been in the midst of a brutal civil war, with rebel forces gaining critical ground and pushing back the military junta. This has unleashed unprecedented levels of violence, displacing more than 3 million people and plunging the country into economic crisis. The National Unity Government, representing the democratic resistance, is fighting for a federal democratic union amidst relentless suppression.
