Jul 15, 2019

A Very Warm Welcome to Our New Global Travel Manager, Rebeca Becker!

Rebeca joined the council in January 2019 as an intern with the membership department and we are thrilled to have her join our travel department.

In her new role Rebeca is dedicated to creating intentional travel aimed at providing our travelers with the most impactful cultural experiences.

“I’m passionate about the benefits of world travel because it allows personal growth and the development of cultural sensitivity,” Rebeca said.

She previously studied law in Brazil and is currently studying political science at the University of Houston. She enjoys spending time with her loving husband and son.

“Travel has helped me become a more compassionate and understanding person”

ABOUT REBECA
Rebeca moved to the U.S. from Brazil in 2009. Before moving to Houston, Rebeca lived in Connecticut for two years.

“I learned English mainly through music and movies. This compelled me to explore new worlds such as the places I saw in the movies and heard about in songs.”

Rebeca believes that travel has made her a more compassionate and understanding person because exploring different cultures forces you to put your own life in perspective to the many other ways of life around the world.
