Agustin Izquierdo

Agustin leads Global Finance and Strategy as Divisional CFO for the segments Chemical Intermediate and Derivatives, Refining and Supply Chain.  In his current role he is responsible for the financial performance of the Segments as well as for leading the development of medium and long term strategies including organic and inorganic growth. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Agustin spent thirteen years at BASF, where he had roles of increasing responsibility in strategy, marketing, business management and finance.  Agustin started his career at Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division, where he spent eight years working in Corporate Finance, Debt Restructurings, Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets advising governments and corporate clients across various industries. Agustin has worked and lived in Mexico, Argentina, Germany and the United States.

Agustin has Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Masters in Engineering – Operations Research from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is fluent in Spanish, English. Conversational in Portuguese and basic German.
