Laura Logan

Biography

Laura is the Public and Government Affairs Manager for ExxonMobil’s Technology and Engineering Company and Global Projects Company.  In this role, she manages internal and external communications and legislative, regulatory, and other public policy issues that impact both companies.

Laura has been with ExxonMobil for 21 years.  She began her career in ExxonMobil’s Global Security Department, creating an integrated threat assessment program post-9/11.  From there, she transferred to Public and Government Affairs, where she has had assignments in public policy, communications, operations (including two years supporting ExxonMobil’s Iraq operations), and international government relations.  Her most recent role was as Public and Government Affairs Manager for ExxonMobil’s Specialty Products business that includes lubricants, advanced polymers, and chemical products.

Before joining ExxonMobil, Laura spent nine years with the Central Intelligence Agency in various roles within the Clandestine Service, including a three-year assignment at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France.

Laura graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature.  She also received a Masters in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.  She is married to Jason, an architect and Professor at the University of Houston, and they live in the Heights.
