Biography
Rupesh is a partner in Deloitte’s Energy & Chemicals practice based in Houston. He is a veteran tax advisor with over two decades of experience serving complex organizations in a wide variety of industries ranging from oil and gas to renewable energy. He has served both private and public organizations, including growth and mature organizations. In addition to his tax leadership roles, Rupesh serves as a lead client services partner for large multinational companies leading Deloitte’s functional groups in audit, tax, advisory, consulting, and M&A.
Joining Deloitte in 2002, Rupesh has held successive positions of responsibility and was admitted to the partnership in 2011. During this time, Rupesh has held a number of internal positions within Deloitte including a Think Tank advisor to the CEO and leader on local and national D&I initiatives. Prior to joining Deloitte, Rupesh held positions at Arthur Andersen and IBM.
Rupesh is a frequent speaker at Tax Executive Institute on emerging tax issues for multinational organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Houston with his wife and two sons.
