Ana Maria Galvis, Executive Director of the Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Colombia, comes to Houston to provide her report on the current Venezuelan refugee crisis. Her in-depth analysis will provide the latest updates as well as the various ways Texas Children’s Global Health Network is assisting in the efforts in improving the health of vulnerable populations in the region.

Ana Maria Galvis is the executive director of Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Colombia. She is a specialist in communications and government affairs with vast experience in leading communication initiatives to strengthen the reputation of her clients. Galvis has over 12 years of experience in managing relations with governments, communities, and licensing. She is certified in social, environmental and health impacts management and holds a business administration major from Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administration. Galvis has strong leadership abilities positioning her to be capable to work in an international and multicultural environment.
