During the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War, many women had to find ways of obtaining food, medicine and essentials for their families. These women undertook a very dangerous journey across enemy lines into Nigerian territory to trade and bring back supplies. This phenomenon was called ‘Afia Attack’ and not all women made it back home. This documentary-style film combines historical facts about the Nigeria-Biafra war with personal stories of women who lived through it.
