Global Houston Model UN: Lead Up Sessions
We are excited to announce the upcoming Lead-Up session for the Global Houston Model UN Conference. The Council’s Education team will gather with Houston area students to discuss the purpose, history, and structure of the United Nations, explore the UN’s methods of conflict resolution, and illuminate a path for students to be successful delegates in the Spring Conference.
The session will involve a dynamic and timely conflict resolution simulation through the lens of the UN Security Council. This way, students can relate what they learn about the operation and role of UN agencies to a familiar real-life situation.
MUN Session Dates:
- November 9th at HAIS
- November 14th @ 4:00 PM Virtual
- November 16th at Travis High School
- November 28th @ 4:00 PM Virtual
- December 6th at Sharpstown International School
- December 12th @ 4:00 PM Virtual
Lead-Up Sessions that are hosted by a school are only open to students from that school, if you are an educator and are interested in hosting a lead-up session please reach out to [email protected]
Students are not required to attend Lead-Up sessions to participate in the Spring Conference, but these sessions are designed to provide students with the tools they will need to be successful.
