ABOUT THE 2022 JESSE H. JONES AWARDS

The World Affairs Council of Greater Houston proudly presents the 24th Annual Jesse H. Jones Award Luncheon! Gathering global leaders in education, business, finance, world affairs, and more, the Jones Awards Luncheon recognizes a distinguished group of individuals for their international impact, exceptional leadership, and outstanding contributions to Houston’s international spirit.

We are pleased to honor Hess Corporation’s Greg Hill as the 2022 International Citizen of the Year for his accomplishments in promoting Houston’s designation as the energy capital of the world. As a global representative of Houston’s past, present, and future, we are delighted to dream about the future alongside Mr. Hill at this acclaimed international leadership luncheon. In honor of those who – in the spirit of influential Houstonians Jesse H. and Mary Gibbs Jones – have contributed to the international stature of our city, Greg Hill joins previous  honorees, including BP’s Starlee Sykes and Alistair Vickers, recipients of the 2021 International Citizen of the Year award.
