About The Speaker

Nada Glass Bakos is a former analyst and foreign policy advisor for the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center. Focusing primarily on relations with Iraq, Al-Qaeda, and 9/11, she analyzed intelligence and reports from abroad that were then delivered to the White House, Congressional leaders and the Department of Defense. During the Iraq war, Bakos adopted an operational role as a targeting officer for the National Clandestine Service, looking for one of the world’s most wanted terrorists, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The intelligence she gathered during this time later led U.S. Special Forces agents to find Osama bin Laden in 2011.

After 20 years in the intelligence field, Bakos is currently working as a consultant on national security issues, human trafficking, illicit networks and regional stability. In her recent book ‘The Targeter’, Bakos traces her journey from Montana where she grew up to her role in the War on Terror.
