Young Professionals Viking Night & Ax Throwing
Global Young Professionals is glad to invite you to our first in-person event of the year.
The purpose of this event is to learn about world culture and costumes, grow your network, engage with peers, and have fun!
During this Viking-themed evening, you will practice your ax-throwing skills, savor some Nordic foods and enjoy a Viking elixir.
The practice of ax-throwing began in Europe during the Middle Ages. Viking warriors are thought to be the first tribes to design an ax specifically for war.
The Viking battle ax usually had a curved blade that had a lower hook or beard, hence they were known as “bearded axes”.
They were highly sharpened and Vikings would practice their ax-throwing skills in competitions before heading out to war.
