About The Event

The siblings Magnar and Oddny never left their childhood home. They run the family farm as it was run by several generations before them. Time seems to be standing still, while it runs out. “Siblings are Forever” is a warm and poetic documentary about a brother-and-sister couple, Magnar (73) and Oddny (70) who live like many Norwegians did 50 years ago. Far from wealthy but close to the nature surrounding them.

This series is held in collaboration with the Norwegian Consulate General, the non-profit movie theater 14 Pews, and the Norwegian Film Institute.

About The Series

A total of four Norwegian-produced documentaries compiled together by 14 Pews’ very own Cressandra Thibodeaux will be screened throughout September. Norwegian documentaries have a very visible spot in international documentary festivals and have been praised for their innovative narration and dialogue with the audience. In collaboration with 14 Pews we are proud to screen four of them, all award-winning documentaries followed by a talk-back with former Consul General, Mr. Lasse Seim after each screening. 14 Pews is a non-profit independent and multidisciplinary movie theater screening independent films, documentaries and short films located in The Heights.

Attendance is completely FREE OF CHARGE and complimentary beer sponsored by Saint Arnolds Brewing Company will be offered.

Please reserve seating online at www.14pews.com, space is limited. Free street parking available surrounding the venue.
