About The Event
What is WorldQuest?
WorldQuest is an exciting game of international trivia, played in teams of eight with four rounds of questions. Answers are submitted by teams, not individuals. WorldQuest is a great way to test your knowledge of international issues. Anyone can participate–teams can be formed by businesses, schools, clubs or groups of friends. If you want to play but don’t have a team, we will find one for you.
Competition is both fun and fierce! Our 2018 champion was Schlumberger with their team, Space Force!
How is WorldQuest played?
The game is played in four rounds. Your team has 30 seconds to answer each question. Answer sheets are submitted at the end of each round. The trophy goes to the team with the highest number of points at the end of four rounds. In the event of a tie, a sudden death round will be played.
What kind of questions will be asked?
The questions will be timely and relevant, covering topics such as international politics, current events, economics, geography and culture. Questions will cover all parts of the globe, so teams with a geographic balance of expertise will have an advantage. The topics for each round are as follows:
Round 1 – Africa the Americas
Round 2 – Europe Russia
Round 3 – Middle East, Central Asia North Africa
Round 4 – Asia the Pacific
Anything else I should know?
Creativity will also be rewarded! Come up with a funny team name and/or come in costume with your teammates! Medals will be awarded to the Best Dressed Team and Best Team Name.
