About the council

In June and July, the Council offers courses for both adults and students to develop and expand their understanding of global affairs and American foreign policy. 

The Global Affairs & U.S. Foreign Policy Institute for adults and the Global Scholars Academy for students each allow attendees to gain key competencies and a global understanding applicable to: international business, careers with the US government, international NGO’s & non-profits, global risk analysis, and a variety of other fields impacted by world events.
Both the Institute and the Academy will benefit those who are interested in global affairs, but have only a limited knowledge of the issues. The courses will also enhance the understanding of those who have an existing familiarity and experience with international issues, but desire to learn more and delve deeper.
The Institute and the Academy will both feature a variety of guest speakers and the opportunity for attendees to talk directly with these experts.
