WHAT IS THE GLOBAL SCHOLARS ACADEMY?
The World Affairs Council of Greater Houston Global Scholars Academy is a nonpartisan, nonprofit Academy providing an opportunity for 7th – 12th grade students to develop interest and demonstrate expertise in understanding different world cultures and important international issues. Curriculum will include a globally-focused course of study, including classes, coursework, projects and extracurricular activities.

Students from PAIR (Participation for the Advancement & Immersion of Refugees) participate at the 2020 Academic WorldQuest.
The Global Scholars Academy is designed to be held virtual and in-person at the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston office. The Council is closely monitoring the situation and reassessing our own health and safety measures to ensure a safe environment for everyone. The Academy schedule is subject to change or be postponed should local and/or federal health guidelines dictate.
Session Dates (all times are from 9:00 am-1:30 pm CST):
Session 1: Virtual (MS & HS) June 21-25
Session 2: In-Person (High School) June 28-July 2
Session 3: In-Person (Middles School) July 12-16
Session 4: Virtual (MS & HS) July 19-23
